Due to 19 May, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, a panel titled "Youth talks about Atatürk" was organized by Kocaeli University Atatürk's Principles and Reforms Research and Application Centre and Kemalist Thought Club.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Zehra Gönül Balkır, Head of the History Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Assistant Prof. Esma Torun, Director of Atatürk's Principles and reforms Research and Application Centre Hüseyin Munyar, Head of the Department of Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution Assistant Prof. Erol Çetin, academicians and students participated in the activity held at the Faculty of Law of Kocaeli University.

Avşin Gizem Akbulut and Doğan Gündoğdu made their presentations. Özgür Gediklioğlu mentioned about the today's meaning of Atatürk's Address to the Youth, Ayşin Gizem Akbulut talked about national sovereignty and independence, and Doğan Gündoğdu talked about the today's interpretation of Atatürk's Principles. At the end of the panel, the students of the Music Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Emre Efe and Ebru Efe, gave a concert and then the guests joined a cocktail party.
