The law for the right to information was put into effect on 24th April 2004. "The regulation on the basics and procedures related to the Implementation of the Law for the right to information" pertaining to this law, which is one of the most important arrangements in Turkish Public Management, was published in the Official Gazette on 27th April 2004.
